Carl HOCKEN 1935

In the 1930 U.S. Census the following HOCKENS were enumerated in the Bowler area:

Rose was female; white; age 3; b. Montana; parents b. Iowa

Carl H. HOCKEN who was boarding with the LOYNINGS
Carl was male; white; age 30; widowed; married at age 24; born in Iowa; as were his parents; and working as a farm laborer.
I'm assuming that Carl H. was the father of Baby Carl HOCKEN, and the other HOCKEN children listed in the 1930 Census. His late wife, Beatrice was a JOHNSON, as was Faye ELTON's wife, Audrey. So, by 1935 Carl had remarried, and he and his wife lost this baby - who is buried next to Beatrice HOCKEN.
